Yes...

That is Indigo, licking my TV screen. Its one of the many bizarre things she likes to do, licking smooth surfaces- plastic, glass, you name it! Daft mog. Please excuse the piled up washing up in the sink!

Well, I have been absent for a while! It's been one of 'those' weeks, what with one thing and another, and I just haven't gotten around to blogging for a week and a half. Hopefully things will ease off a little next week though. Hopefully the rain will stop too! I still take Theo on his daily walk, or the lad does, but its safe to say he doesn't enjoy it as much in the rain and wants in after a few minutes. Whereupon he sits and stares at me balefully, as though I am personally responsible for the weather!

Oh and congrats to Amanda, who has a new kitten ruling the roost living at her house- he's chocolate and beautiful! Want!

Quiet

Its been so calm here I haven't a lot to say... so I won't, and just give you a picture of Sofia to enjoy instead :)

Peace

Your camera waving bores me, lady...

Hah... Rescue Remedy in the water and all is once again serene. The water is now plain again and the chilled outness continues, sometimes all it takes is to break the cycle of- well I don't know what it was, but something was bothering them, clearly!

Perhaps it was just me being away/ around sporadically that set them off. Cats are very much creatures of habit, and don't like change. Oddly enough, they sometimes cope better with a big change (like going into a cattery) than a little one (staying at home whilst their people are away) Indigo fits into this category.

Speaking of catteries, I have a few to visit next week. I don't think I'll  have a housesitter for my holidays this year, just neighbours to pop in and out, and whilst that will suit Ava and Sofia nicely, being sensible cats, there's no chance I'm risking the panicked widdle-fest Indigo embarked on 2 years ago when I tried the same thing. It's the kennels for her. And I suspect Theo would be happier with that setup too, so he can keep her company. Luckily we have several locally to choose from :)

Ava. The only kitty of mine who doesn't feel the need to PEE ALL OVER MY HOUSE grrrrrrrrr.

So something has upset my cats' collective equilibrium. Maybe the weather, maybe the season, maybe that I've been away on and off. But Theo seems to have gone on a piddling rampage, and has also been a PITA jumping on the other girls and generally being a brat. Which winds them up, so Sofia has been joining in the wee-a-thon. This is rare for her but when she does he likes to pee on socks. She has a bit of a fetish for socks, the strange girl, but she doesn't usually pee on them!

It's time to replace my Feliway, I think!

Ho hum. My Ava though? Ava's a lady, and wouldn't dream of weeing anywhere but in the litter box. The darling.

Oh, She's A Nag...

Twice this week I've been away overnight. Twice, on my return, I've been treated to the most almighty and drawn out telling off from Indigo! She yowled at me for a good half an hour, swishing her tail and generally being a most put out cat. Indigo does Not Approve of me going away, not in the slightest!!!

Ava and Sofia are pleased to see me home but show their pleasure in purrs and head butts instead of nags. Theo's much more chilled about it all so long as there's food (although he does tend to sleep next to me on my return, and is even more solicitous than usual about accompanying me to the bathroom...) But Indigo really does not thrive unless there's a person there to love her, and she makes it well known, too.

Oh well, she is a Tonk. On the one hand they are super-social, on the other... well... take that away, and they are unhappy. Oh well, I've had some nice cuddles today. Inds has clearly decided if she sits on me all day I can't go anywhere!

Sofia's No Fool

Better believe it, sunshine...

Well. I DID consider an April fool, along the lines of 'Indigo snuck out 9 weeks ago, she was back within the hour and I didn't think anything of it but last night surprise! Kittens!' but I didn't think anyone would be fooled. So you'll have to make do with a picture of Sofia instead.

The teenager totally owned me today though... setting all the clocks, including my phone and computer, forward an hour, so I thought I was late and generally ran around like a loon before he 'fessed up. Hehe, nice one lad!
